Thulasi is the name of the One Time Registration (OTR) portal of the Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC / Kerala PSC).
The portal allows job‑seekers to register once, build a profile, upload relevant documents, and then use that for applying to multiple PSC notifications rather than having to re‑register for every job.
Here are the main features of Thulasi and what candidates can do with it:
Feature |
Description |
One Time Registration (OTR) |
Candidates register once, providing personal, educational, and other details. This profile is used for applying to multiple posts. |
Profile Management |
After registration, you can update certain parts of your profile (e.g. educational qualifications, address, etc.). However, some personal details may not be changed without procedural requests. |
Uploading Photo/Signature |
Upload scanned photo & signature as per the size/format specifications. Can update photo/signature (limited times per year). |
Applying for Job Notifications |
Once the profile is ready, candidates can view PSC job notifications, check eligibility, and apply through the portal. |
Examination Confirmation |
For written exams, candidates often need to submit a “confirmation for exam” before a deadline to get the hall ticket / admit card. |
Hall Ticket / Admit Card Download |
After confirmation and eligibility, hall tickets can be downloaded from the Thulasi portal. |
Result / Marks / Rank List |
Results of exams, OMR marks, etc., are published via the portal. You can check how you fared. |
Forgot User ID / Password Recovery |
If you forget your login credentials, there are SMS / online methods to retrieve/reset them. |
Notifications & Alerts |
Candidates receive updates about new job openings, exam dates etc., via the portal. |
Convenience: No need to fill in all your details every time for each recruitment. One profile serves multiple applications.
Transparency: Job notifications, admit cards, results are all available online. Candidates can check status.
Saves Time & Cost: Less paperwork, less travel, less duplication of effort.
Centralized System: Everything (profile, applications, exam schedules, hall tickets, results) accessible from one portal.
Some details cannot be changed freely (e.g., major personal details) without formal correction requests. This can be inconvenient if there was an error initially.
If you miss the “confirmation for exam” deadline, you may lose the chance to write that exam.
Sometimes applicants face trouble uploading documents, or photo/signature not accepted due to format/size; login or captcha issues etc.
Need to keep track of many deadlines (notification, confirmation, hall ticket issuance etc.), which can be confusing.
